Terms of use

1. Provider and scope

One Plate is provided by Michael Broza, An der Kapelle 7a, 48488 Emsbüren, Germany (see imprint). These terms apply to the One Plate account and to the use of the app and the website during the test phase.

2. What One Plate is

One Plate helps you and your household plan meals, organise shopping and log food and training. One Plate is not a medical device and does not replace medical, nutritional or therapeutic advice. Calorie and macro figures are calculated from databases and your entries and may differ from the actual values. If you have a pre-existing condition, are pregnant or have an eating disorder, please talk to a doctor first.

3. Account

You need an account with an email address and a password. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your password secret and do not pass your account on. You join a household with an invite code; what is shared there is up to you in the app.

4. Test phase

One Plate is in its test phase. Use is free of charge during this time. Features may change, be unavailable for a while or be removed; there is no entitlement to particular features or a particular availability. Before a paid offer starts, we will inform you; no costs arise without your express consent.

5. Your content

Recipes, entries and notes remain your content. You grant us only the rights needed to store and show them for you and the people you choose. Only add content you hold the necessary rights to, and nothing unlawful.

6. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breaches of essential contractual duties, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

7. Term and termination

You can delete your account in the app at any time or email us to do so; this ends your use, and we delete your data. We may end the test phase with reasonable notice, or block an account that violates these terms.

8. Changes

If we change these terms, we will inform you in good time by email or in the app. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

9. Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside remain unaffected. Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
